Around 25,000 Remain Without Power In St. Tammany Parish Thursday

As cleanup continued following Wednesday's severe weather, St. Tammany Parish officials said that roughly 25,000 remain without power Thursday morning.

According to PowerOutage.us, Cleco had 19,493 customers without power. Washington St. Tammany Electric Cooperative had 5,694 reported outages and Entergy had two.

"Utility crews are in our community to restore power, but it may take a few days to fully restore," said Michael Vinsanau, St. Tammany Parish Director of Public Information.

Vinsanau adds that while damage assessment crews are working, residents are urged to self-report any damage online.

Parish roads are clear of debris and plans are being worked on to remove debris from homes and businesses.
