The downtown Tulane Medical Center campus is moving its patients and staff to the East Jefferson Hospital.

The relocation is the latest step in an ongoing merger.

LCMC acquired the Tulane Medical Center, Lakeside Hospital in Metairie, and Lakeview Regional in Mandeville for $220 million.

LCMC now operates two of the state's top medical schools: LSU, based at University Medical Center, and Tulane, relocated to East Jefferson.
