Tourism in New Orleans is rebuilding, and the leadership of New Orleans & Company says 2023 data will likely show the trend continues.

Chief Marketing Officer Mark Romig says it was once thought that pre-pandemic tourism levels wouldn't return until 2026, but it's looking better now.

The data for last year is not complete yet, but Romig says the Miss Universe pageant, a lower crime rate, and a successful festival season brought in the crowds.

After the usual festivals this year, next stop is the Super Bowl in February 2025.
