The Louisiana movie industry is preparing to get back on its feet this year following a difficult 2023.

The actors' and writers' strikes disrupted production in Louisiana as well as in Hollywood.

The Louisiana film industry has an economic impact of as much as $350 million a year.

Especially welcome are series, as opposed to features, since they can generate substantial revenues and create long-term jobs.

Louisiana offers incentives such as guaranteed five-year tax credits, to attract productions that film several seasons locally.
