The last phase of the National World War II Museum in New Orleans is now open.

More than a dozen World War II veterans and Holocaust survivors attended Friday's opening ceremony for the $47 million Liberation Pavilion.

Also in attendance was Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks.
