There is a new committee to oversee Louisiana's insurance crisis.

Newly elected state Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple has formed the Insurance Advisory Council to find solutions for how the state regulates the industry.

The goal is to come up with recommendations for the upcoming legislative session next year.

The panel will focus on five areas of concern, including property and auto insurance.

Temple says families and businesses can't wait any longer, which is why it's time to get to work.
