A K-9 officer formerly with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is enjoying her retirement, even with only three legs.
Kyra is a ten-year-old Belgian Malinois who worked with her partner Deputy Abraham Andino for eight-years.
In March of this year, Andino noticed a lump on Kyra's leg. A veterinarian had to amputate her leg to get rid of the tumor, and Kyra was retired.
Deputy Andino adopted Kyra and took her home.
