A fourth finalist has his name back on the list in the search for the next New Orleans Police Department superintendent.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell announced on Wednesday that she will interview David Franklin for the position.

Franklin is a former chief of staff with the Albuquerque Police who took himself out of the running last month.

The other three contenders are Interim NOPD Superintendent Michelle Woodfork, plus Thedrick Andres Senior and Anne Kirkpatrick, both former police chiefs in other states.
