Some public libraries in Orleans Parish are experiencing shutdowns because of air conditioning problems.

On Monday, the New Orleans Public Library's main branch on Loyola Avenue shut down as patrons lined up outside.

The library's A/C unit has reportedly been broken for days.

The uptown Milton H. Latter Memorial Library has been closed since June 17th, after two of its three A/C units conked out.

Last Wednesday, with temps approaching triple digits, NOPD headquarters was temporarily closed because of A/C problems.
