The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says two Lafayette men are in trouble for dumping dead crawfish at a boat launch.

Agents say 20-year-old Adam Ory bought live crawfish in Louisiana on March 20th and illegally took them to Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida to sell.

He then reportedly brought the unsold mudbugs back to Louisiana.

Ory and 23-year-old Austin Barbier dumped 80 sacks of dead crawdads at a boat launch at Schooner Bayou on March 30th.

Ory and Barbier were cited on Wednesday for selling fish without a retail seafood license, violating interstate commerce regulations, and littering.
