NOLA Council Plans Probe Of Company That Printed Pro-Cantrell Flyers

The New Orleans City Council is investigating a mailer sent out by Mayor LaToya Cantrell's administration at taxpayers' expense.

The flyer was sent to more than 100,000 homes in January and touted Cantrell's accomplishments.

Since taxpayer money was involved, the flyer may have broken state law.

Council members approached the printing company, MPress, who said they'd need a subpoena if they wanted more information.

The council could only issue a subpoena after opening an investigation, which they did on Wednesday.
