NHC: Tropical Wave Could Develop In Gulf Through Weekend

The National Hurricane Center continues to keep an eye on a tropical wave in the Caribbean.

"A tropical wave over Honduras and the northwestern Caribbean Sea is forecast to move across Central America during the next couple of days and emerge over the Bay of Campeche, where an area of low pressure could form on Friday," said the NHC Wednesday. "Some gradual development of this system is possible while it moves northwestward over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico through the weekend."

There is not a threat to Louisiana at this time, but it is a good reminder to check your hurricane preparation plans as we approach the peak of the season.
