Court records show that a 17-year-old suspect in a deadly carjacking this week faced charges for a violent crime that were dropped last year.

John Honore was charged as an adult for another carjacking when he was 15, but District Attorney Jason Williams's office later dismissed the charge.

The victim in the earlier case was a relative of one of the other two defendants and Williams dismissed the case at the request of family members.

Honore and three 15-year-old girls are accused of Monday's murder of 73-year-old Linda Frickey.
