A class-action lawsuit against New Orleans city officials is challenging the city's pandemic mandates.

The lawsuit filed on Monday names Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Dr. Jennifer Avegno, and the City Health Department as defendants.

More than 100 plaintiffs, about half of them from Orleans Parish, are targeting the city's requirements for masks and vaccinations in public places.

They claim the mandates interfere with their enjoyment of the city's restaurants, bars, museums, and other activities.
