LSU says they are erasing more than $7 million in loan debt for students who attended school from Spring 2020 to the current semester.

The University announced yesterday that it would be using money from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund for the loan forgiveness program aimed at those who enrolled during the pandemic.

LSU officials say the move was made to ensure students have every opportunity to continue their educational pursuits.

Students who qualify for the debt forgiveness will receive information from the Office of Enrollment Management.
