The State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education says they will not reschedule a public meeting on mask mandates.

Officials confirmed yesterday that the Board would not hold a new meeting because of opponents of mask mandates' medically unsafe and disruptive behavior.

Last week, the Board ended a public comment meeting on masks early after anti-mask protestors refused to comply with state requirements to wear masks inside government buildings.

The Board said the Governor's mask mandate is in place until September 1, and there is no plan to hold a special meeting before then.
