The Multi-State Lottery Association says it is adding a third weekly drawing to the Powerball Lottery starting in August.
Officials confirmed yesterday they are adding a drawing on Mondays beginning August 23 with all other aspects of the game, including its matrix, prize levels, and operations, remaining the same.
Louisiana joined the Powerball in 1995, which currently has two weekly drawings on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The multi-draw option for Powerball will be temporarily suspended after June 16 to prepare for the new weekly drawing.
