A 12-year-old girl is dead following a violent Memorial Day weekend that saw at least 12 shootings over 72 hours.
Police said yesterday that the juvenile victim was killed on Sunday in Holy Cross during a graduation party off Delery Street.
Officials say six shootings and two deaths were reported on Friday and Saturday, four fatal incidents on Sunday, and two injury shootings on Monday.
The NOPD says the deadly shootings were spread across the region, with deaths in New Orleans, Slidell and Metairie.
