The hits just keep coming for LSU Football and coach Ed Orgeron.
Orgeron announced Wednesday that star tight end Arik Gilbert has opted out of the remainder of the 2020 season.
Reports say Gilbert is homesick and likely headed back home to his home state of Georgia for the remainder of the semester.
The freshman star had 35 catches for 368 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
LSU is currently in the tail-end of their season and guaranteed a non-winning record for the first time since 1999.
