Over 2,000 Additional COVID-19 Cases Added To Louisiana's Total Wednesday

The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Louisiana stood at 84,131 Wednesday after the state Department of Health announced an additional 2,095 cases.

"90% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread. 34% of the cases reported today are of individuals aged 29 and under," said state health officials.

Most of the cases were collected between July 8 and July 15.

The coronavirus' death toll in Louisiana increased by 14 to 3,351.

Hospitalizations increased slightly by 7 to 1,369 with 149 on ventilators, up 3 from Tuesday.

LDH also updated the number of presumed recovered from COVID-19 in Louisiana to 53,288.
