A man is in custody after being arrested in connection with an attempted sexual assault in Audubon Park.
Officials said yesterday they had arrested Ate' Dumas on charges of first-degree rape, aggravated assault, battery of a police officer, and resisting arrest.
Detectives said a woman reported she was attacked while leaving a restroom at the park early Sunday but was able to get away.
Authorities were able to link the victim's description of her attacker with Dumas who was a suspect in an unrelated assault in the Second District.
