An investigation is underway into a double shooting in New Orleans East involving a woman and a one-year-old girl.
The shooting took place around 1 a.m. this morning in the 6500 block of Dwyer Rd.
Family members say they were inside their home when they heard the gunshots, leading them to find the 41-year-old woman was shot in the leg and the one-year-old girl was shot in the foot. Both were taken to the hospital in a private car.
Details about a motive or suspect have not been released.
