The pace of gas price increases is picking up across Louisiana.
AAA reports the statewide average price of regular is knocking at the door of $2.50 a gallon, already climbing several cents this week. Some drivers in the U.S. are forking over almost twice that amount.
However, the price of the fuel has a long climb before catching up with the historic high average of $4.01 recorded in July 2008.
