Federal Funding Pause Causes Possible Delay In NOLA "Green" Projects

New Orleans, Louisiana

Green infrastructure work could come to a halt because of the partial government shutdown.

City officials say federal funding has been paused for some of the projects in New Orleans. Still, they say the pace of the $1.4 billion in FEMA road and utility repairs shouldn't be affected much.

The shutdown has not slowed planning or pursuit of design approval for additional hazard-mitigation projects.
