Louisiana Lawmakers Likely To Consider Sports Betting Again In 2019

Louisiana lawmakers are expected to consider legalizing sports betting during the upcoming session in April.

An attempt to let voters decide was unsuccessful in 2018.

At least seven states have passed sports wagering measures after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against restrictions in May.

Governor John Bel Edwards says they're trying to figure out what works best for Louisiana, as there are many ways sports betting could move forward.
