Former LSU wide receiver Drake Davis is now facing formal charges for allegedly beating his girlfriend late last summer.
The district attorney filed the charges on Wednesday after complaints from the victim that Davis had attacked her four times while they were dating, in one instance cracking a rib.
Davis is accused of strangulation and second-degree battery.
