It's only spring but it sure feels like New Orleans is deep into summer.

Hot weather had folks sweating to more than the oldies Tuesday when the temperature hit an all-time record high for May at Louis Armstrong International Airport.

The mercury climbed to a scalding 97 degrees, eclipsing the old record of 95 that was revisited on Monday.
