The State Legislative Auditor is out with a report highly critical of the Department of Corrections. The document details a laundry list of oversight problems.
The audit released yesterday found, among other things, that inmates were being housed in facilities other than what was in the DOC System.
The report also states the calculation of release dates is inconsistent and that nearly $4 million was wasted in 2015 on an Offender Management System that was only online for less than two months because of system failures.
