District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro's office is forwarding a criminal complaint made against mayoral candidate LaToya Cantrell to Attorney General Jeff Landry.
Cantrell is accused of using city-issued credit cards for personal and political purchases during the past several years.
Cannizzaro is recusing himself from the probe because he supports Cantrell's opponent, Desiree Charbonnet, in a runoff election to be held next month.
