A hostage situation is over in Marksville, but not before the suspect killed one of his victims and then turned the gun on himself, the self-inflicted wound proving deadly.
Police responded to a call early yesterday morning to learn that 27-year-old Kalvien Lyons was holding two adults and two children hostage. They managed to get one child to safety.
Investigators say Lyons shot and killed 27-year-old Ryan Mayes and then shot himself after taking the remaining two hostages to another residence.
