When what is expected to be Hurricane Nate makes landfall this weekend along the Gulf Coast, officials in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish say they will be ready.
Officials from various departments including Homeland Security will be meeting this morning to discuss the status of the storm and the readiness of the Sewage & Water Board's pumps and manpower to handle heavy rain.
Twelve of 120 pumps remain out of service and only three of six turbines are operational.
