Joint NOPD/FBI Probe Derails Bank Robbery Plot

A joint NOPD-FBI investigation is being credited with stopping a New Orleans bank robbery before it happened.

Officers responded to a disturbance yesterday morning where they found a trio of 23-year-old men dressed in dark clothing who they linked to masks, duct tape and two guns that were seized at the Cohn Street address.

Investigators suspect the trio was planning to rob a South Carrollton Avenue bank and that one of them held up a bank earlier this month on General DeGaulle Drive.
