Online retail giant Amazon is looking to build a second headquarters in North America, and government officials in Louisiana, both local and state, are expected to make a bid for the facility.
Amazon is currently headquartered in Seattle, but its dramatic growth has it planning to open a second such multi-billion-dollar facility employing upwards of 50,000 workers.
The Advocate reports that New Orleans is the likeliest site in Louisiana, but may be a long shot due to transportation shortcomings and the threat of hurricanes.
