The FBI is investigating an armored car robbery that took place Monday morning near Audubon Park.

The Bureau says in a press release that a robber forced his way into the Dunbar truck by gunpoint while the truck was parked at a business in the 200 block of Broadway near Leake.

The robber then told the drivers to take him to a spot near Chestnut and Audubon. When they got there, he took off from the truck with a money bag. It's unknown how much money was in that bag.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid 20s - early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, dark pants, white cloth gloves with rubber tips, and a white garden style hat covering his face.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
